Known as the “Tuscany of the East”, Furano is famous for its picturesque rural landscapes and expansive flower fields. It also has one of the largest ski resorts in Hokkaido, having hosted over ten FIS World Cup ski and snow boarding events.
The town is located in the center of Hokkaido and is easily accessed by trains, highways and flights. By car, it is less than an hour from Asahikawa Airport and two hours from New Chitose Airport.
